Terms and Conditions

Your furry friend will be looked after to the highest standards. Your dog’s individual personality will be catered for, and their physical and emotional wellbeing is of the upmost importance. Now for the important documents!

All Dogs within care of Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services must have an up-to-date routine of treatments such as worming, flea and vaccinations. Kennel cough is preferred but not mandatory. All dogs will need to be micro-chipped.

All clients will be deemed to have accepted Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services terms and conditions on signature of the contract, as shown below.

Bookings

There are two methods of booking walks at Surrey Doggy Daycare:

• Weekly Rolling Bookings: This is a repeat booking service, where your dog is automatically booked onto the same walk(s) each week and spaces are guaranteed. Bookings are agreed with clients initially and no further action is required. Unless rolling bookings need to be changed or cancelled.

• Ad Hoc Bookings: Ad-hoc bookings are when clients do not require a walk regularly or on the same day each week but choose to book in on an ad-hoc basis instead. All ad-hoc bookings should be requested via email (Surreydoggydaycare@gmail.com) or text (07355169639) as soon as possible. You will receive a text or email to confirm whether the booking request is accepted. 

• Bookings will need to be made 24 hours in advance at the latest, any later than this may mean the booking will not be accepted. Any messages will be read between the hours of 9am - 4pm, messages may be read but not replied to until the following day if out of hours.

• Cancellations: Cancellations need to be made at the latest 24 hours before, cancellations with less time, will be charged full price.

Full payment for Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet services (agreed upon at the start of the service) is to be made by bank transfer on a weekly basis, within 7 days of receipt of invoice, or by the date specified on the invoice, via bank transfer or cash. 

Late Payments: All payments must be made 7 days after invoices have been sent. All invoices should be paid by 4PM the following Friday. Late payments will have an additional late fee of £5 added to the invoice, failure to pay after this, will result in future bookings being cancelled, until payment is made in full.

Dog Walking

• Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services will not confirm any booking until an initial consultation and assessment has been carried out with the client and the contract, with full details of client requirements, has been signed. Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services reserves the right to refuse any dog deemed in their absolute discretion to be, or have the potential to be, dangerous or disruptive.

• All clients agree that, in admitting their dog, Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services has relied on the client's representation that their dog is in good health and has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour towards any person or any other dog.

• All clients agree they are solely responsible for any harm or damage caused by their dog while under the care of Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services and agree to indemnify Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services against any liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties.

• All clients are responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their dog receives while under the care of Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services; together with any associated costs e.g., call-out charges. The client authorises Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services to seek such veterinary advice and/or treatment as they deem necessary; where possible this will be carried out by the clients usual/preferred vet, but this cannot be guaranteed (e.g. in an emergency) and the client accepts that Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services may at their discretion use any registered Vet. All clients agree to reimburse Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services of any expenses occurred.

• All clients are solely responsible for any harm or damage caused by their dog while under the care of Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services and agrees to indemnify Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services against any liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties.

• Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services offer services where dogs socialise in groups and all clients accept that during normal dog play their dog may sustain injuries. All dog play is carefully monitored to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, or other injuries may occur despite the best supervision.

• All clients agree to provide keys or arrange for keys to be available for Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services for any services used. The clients agree that, by signing the terms and conditions, this will indemnify Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services in full against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or its contents, in the present and future circumstances.

• Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services reserves the right to refuse if the Dog owner fails to provide adequate proof of vaccinations, or vaccinations are found to be expired or otherwise incomplete.

• The clients accept that even though their dog is vaccinated against Bordetella (Kennel Cough) there is a chance that their dog can still contract Kennel Cough. The client agrees that they will not hold Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services responsible if their dog contracts Kennel Cough while attending.

• All clients agree to take any necessary measures or precautions to ensure that their dog is continuously free of contagious, infectious, or otherwise communicable diseases. The clients further agree to notify Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services immediately of any infectious and/or contagious disease or conditions their dog has been exposed to or is affected by. Such diseases and conditions include, but are not limited to: Distemper, Hepatitis, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Parvovirus, worms, Lyme disease, Fleas, Pregnancy, Infectious Skin Diseases and Intestinal Parasites. Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services reserves the right to refuse any services until satisfied that the condition is resolved.

• Bitches may not be walked by Surrey Doggy Daycare& Pet Services while in season or pregnant. Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services reserve the right to refuse if these criteria are not met.

• Dogs should not be fed for at least an hour before pick up time, if a dog is unwell and is sick in the van, a £10 cleaning fee will be added to the invoice.

• All clients will provide an ID tag on the dog’s collar or harness. The minimum requirement for information on this ID tag is the dog owner’s name, and address (including postcode.) Though a contact number is recommended.

• Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services will notify the client immediately if its dog has been exposed to another dog with any infectious and/or contagious disease. Such diseases and conditions include, but are not limited to: Distemper, Hepatitis, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Parvovirus, worms, Lyme disease, Fleas, Infectious Skin Diseases and Intestinal Parasites and reserves the right to refuse the dog until satisfied that the condition is resolved.

• Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services shall not be held responsible for any damage to the client’s property, or that of others, caused by the client’s pets or other people with access to the property during the period in which they are in its care or in the future. 

• Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services reserve the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion; likewise, clients may terminate this agreement at any time.

Surrey Doggy Daycare & Services Responsibilities

• Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services is fully insured for all services provided. I take my role in ensuring your dog is well always cared for and safe extremely seriously, and while I hope that my insurance is never needed.

• Walks will always be in a safe environment, such as parks, woodlands, fields and away from roads and traffic.

• Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services will apply personal judgment and cut short a walk, if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions (example: heat, heavy rains, thunderstorms) for the safety of both the dogs and the walker. If walks are cut short for these reasons or any other circumstances (example: traffic issues causing a delay) then the dog will accrue credit, which will be added to future walks to make up for any time losses, all walks will last no less than one hour, unless stated for the above reasons.

• Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services will make every effort to return your dog in a clean and dry state. Nevertheless, given the great British weather, it is not always possible to return them completely clean. I will however, clean and towel dry your dog as best I can, but it may be necessary to leave us a towel by the entrance door and provide instructions on where to leave your dog in the event they are not 100% dry.

• Surrey Doggy Daycare & Pet Services will only let dogs off the lead once an ‘off the lead consent form’ has been signed.

• Surrey Doggy Daycare and Pet Services agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable and trustworthy way, we will care for your let as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is looked after in your absence.
